You never took the easy path

let nothing cramp your style,

life is lived at quite a pace

you give your heart and soul.

Hard earned money buys

you time to fly and climb and burrow

enjoy the time today as if it won’t

be there tomorrow, so run across

the farmer’s field, a kayak on your back

towards the flowing rivers,

down the steepest mountain track.

The rain and storms won’t stifle you

no harness will shackle your drive

at one with nature, breathe deeply

on the water or in the sky

where you feel truly alive…..
